Teradata has announced its Autonomous Knowledge Platform, bringing together a powerful ecosystem of products across our unified platform to enable customers to achieve outsized business outcomes.
We are seeking a Director of Program Management to define and lead the release management operating rhythm across this portfolio. This role will ensure a connected, cohesive release story across products that span multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments, with complex interdependencies.
You will establish the structure, governance, and execution model required to orchestrate integrated releases, ensuring that product components come together seamlessly into customer-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Release Strategy & Operating Rhythm
Define and implement the end-to-end release management operating model across our platform including AI and data platform elements
Establish a consistent release cadence and governance framework across globally distributed teams
Drive velocity of our releases through continuous, automated release cadences
Portfolio & Dependency Orchestration
Orchestrate release planning across products with deep interdependencies, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and platform teams
Create and manage integrated release plans spanning multiple form factors (multi-cloud, hybrid, on-prem)
Ensure a single, cohesive customer-facing narrative for each release
Release Architecture & Packaging
Define release components including Bill of Materials (BOM) and map them to customer-specific deployment packages
Ensure releases are tailored to different infrastructure footprints and customer environments
Partner with Product and Engineering to align packaging with customer value realization
Execution Excellence & Risk Management
Drive predictable, high-quality releases with reduced deployment risks and improved reliability
Establish mechanisms for automated rollbacks, fail-safes, and release readiness validation
Identify and mitigate risks across cross-functional programs
Metrics, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Define and track KPI-driven release analytics, including Release velocity, Change failure rate, Deployment success and rollback metrics
Use data-driven insights to continuously improve release efficiency and quality
Leadership & Capability Building
Serve as a matrixed regional leader for program management talent in India
Build and scale program management capabilities, practices, and talent pipelines
Coach and mentor program managers to operate effectively in complex, global environments
Serve as the regional matrixed people leader for India-based team members within the Product Partnerships, Operations, and PMO organization

Who will you work with on the team:
This requires someone adept at integrating efforts and activities across many leadership levels and organizations, including regular engagement with managers and senior leaders from product management, product engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, field/sales enablement, technical enablement and more.
Who this position reports to:
This role reports to the Senior Director, Partnerships Delivery / Program Management.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
12+ years of experience in program management, with significant experience in enterprise software or platform delivery
Proven leadership in release management, platform orchestration, or large-scale product delivery
Experience managing complex portfolios with interdependent products and systems
Strong understanding of modern release practices (CI/CD, DevOps, continuous delivery)
Demonstrated success in driving operational transformation (manual
automated / continuous release models)
Expertise in dependency management across global, cross-functional teams
Strong analytical mindset, with experience defining and tracking operational KPIs
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
Proven ability to lead in a matrixed organization and influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in integrations with external partners such as ISVs or technology alliances
Familiarity with data platforms, cloud, or analytics ecosystems
Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe) or PMP preferred
Experience delivering customer-facing features, integrations, or platform capabilities
Advanced degree preferred
