Job Description

The incumbent will play a key role in enhancing the global brand and reputation of NUS Business School as a leading world-class university for business education, thought leadership and research. He/she will undertake the key responsibility of enhancing and driving social media executions to create engagements and resonance with target audiences in key markets, thereby creating positive perceptions and top of mind recall in the digital space.

About the Role:

We are looking for a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to lead our social media presence across key platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube). You will develop and execute social media strategies, create engaging content, grow our audience, and help drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with overall business and marketing goals

Define target audiences, platform‑specific approaches, messaging guidelines, content pillars, and posting calendars

Content Creation & Management

Conceptualise, write, and produce original content (text, images, short videos, carousels, stories, etc.) tailored to each platform

Maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all social channels

Stay up to‑date with emerging social‑media trends, algorithms, formats, and tools

Recommend new channels, features, or formats (e.g., Reels, live‑streaming, Communities) to keep our presence fresh and relevant

Publishing & Community Management

Schedule and publish posts using social‑media tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, scheduling platforms)

Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; respond promptly and professionally to build community and handle queries

Analytics & Reporting

Track KPIs such as reach, engagement, follower growth, click‑through rates, leads, and conversions

Prepare regular reports and translate insights into action plans to optimise campaigns and content

Brand & Reputation Management

Monitor brand sentiment and potential issues on social media and escalate as needed

Ensure all social‑media activity complies with internal policies, data‑privacy rules, and platform terms

Others

Support school-level events such as the annual commencement ceremonies

Other duties as assigned by the management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

At least 6 years’ experience managing social media for a brand or organisation, preferably in B2C, education, or professional services

Adept at copywriting and customising the messages and visual assets for targeted marketing purposes. Strong proficiency in spoken and written English is required

Strong written and visual‑storytelling skills; experience creating content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and at least one short‑form video platform

Proficiency with social‑management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer), analytics (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, Google Analytics), and design/video editing tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.)

Data‑driven mindset with ability to interpret reports and adjust strategy

Excellent communication, collaboration, and time‑management skills, with ability to juggle multiple platforms and deadlines
