The AquaPolis Programme Office (APO) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to join our Programme Office , supporting the communication and engagement efforts for Singapore’s tropical marine aquaculture R&D programme. This role is ideal for candidates with strong communications/marketing skills who wish to contribute to high-impact national R&D initiatives in food and aquaculture innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation and Communications Management
Create and produce engaging content across formats (e.g. articles, infographics, videos) for website, e-newsletters, and social media posts.
Oversee the Programme Office’s communications channels (website, e-newsletters, LinkedIn), ensuring regular content updates and layout improvements.
Collaborate with team members, researchers, and vendors on content projects.
Track channel engagement rates and refine strategies for better impact.
Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels.
2. Ecosystem Engagement Support
Support the Programme Director and Programme Manager in planning and hosting engagement events, including forums, symposiums, workshops and seminars.
Prepare event promotional materials and post-event coverage content to maximise exposure and engagement with the ecosystem.
Assist in administering surveys to collect feedback and recommendations from the ecosystem.
3. Financial & Administrative Support
Support the Programme Manager with financial tracking, fund utilisation reports and reimbursements.
Support procurement activities, including vendor sourcing, liaison and vendor payments in accordance with funding and university policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in communications, public relations, or marketing in a university or public agency setting.
Proficiency in design tools (e.g. Canva and Photoshop), Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP, Concur, or Power BI is an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Interest in contributing to the growth of Singapore’s agrifood and R&D ecosystem.
