HSEQ Manager Barcelona
Position Mission:
Ensure Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) at Barcelona site Spain, aligning policies, standards, and best practices.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and implement the organization's HSE strategy, goals, and objectives in alignment with its overall business objectives, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and drive continuous improvement
Establish and communicate HSE policies and procedures that align with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards and ensure that these policies are well-understood and adhered to across the organization
Stay up-to-date with evolving HSE regulations, laws, and industry best practices and ensure the organization's operations, processes, and practices are compliant, and lead efforts to obtain necessary permits and certifications
Identify potential risks to the health and safety of employees, the environment, and product quality, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, implement risk management strategies, and develop contingency plans to mitigate adverse effects
Plan and execute regular audits and inspections to assess the organization's adherence to HSE standards and policies, coordinate corrective actions based on audit findings to address deficiencies and improve performance
Establish systems to monitor and measure HSE performance against established KPIs, prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and recommendations for action
Oversee the design and delivery of training programs that educate employees at all levels about HSE requirements, safe work practices, environmental stewardship, and quality control measures
Lead incident investigations to determine root causes of accidents, incidents, and near-misses and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and foster a culture of reporting and learning from incidents
Qualification Requirements (Education & Work Experience)
University degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field or equivalent qualifications with relevant work experience.
Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline. Certified Higher Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention with specialization in Industrial Hygiene, and complementary Safety or Ergonomics.
5–10 years of experience in HSE roles within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or related environments
Languages: Spanish: C2 / Native; English: B2 or higher (spoken and written), enabling effective communication in a global environment.
Salary in line with the experience provided, between €75,000 and €80,000 gross annually.
