Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing.

“Data & Performance” mission is to foster Group strategy execution leveraging data as an enabler for performance management.

The “Data” streams focus on building and enhancing data foundations, work to connect data, break data silos in order to share one single & trusted version of data across the Group. Our ambition is to raise the overall Data Maturity of Schneider strategic.

The “Performance” streams aim at leveraging this data environment to define, enhance or revisit the performance models and publish related power metrics.

Within that scope Data & Performance has launched the “Schneider Electric (SE) Intel” application which leverages SE’s new data lake aiming at providing data to all layers of the organization meeting their different content needs: Excom (strategic insights), BU & Ops leaders (transversal & granular), countries & entities (local and granular) and across functions.

“SE Intel” application is expected to have up to 10,000+ users.

Mission

The SE Intel UX UI Designer is responsible for designing and driving best-in-class user experience and interface standards across the SE Intel platform.

This role ensures that all dashboards, analytics products, and data interactions are:

Intuitive and user-centric

Aligned with Schneider Electric design principles and industry standards

Optimized for performance, usability, and adoption

The SE Intel UX UI Designer works closely with Product Owners, Data teams, and Business stakeholders to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights through superior design.

The SE Intel UX UI Designer reports to SE Intel Business Product Owner within Data & Performance / Governance.

What will you do?

Responsibilities

Strategic objective:

UX / UI Strategy & Design

Define and drive the UX vision and design standards for SE Intel dashboards and analytics products

AI-Native & Conversational Analytics Experience:

Design the experience layer for the SE Intel Data Assistant and other AI-assisted analytics: prompt entry, suggested questions, result presentation, and confirmation flows

Translate business and analytics requirements into intuitive user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs

Ensure consistency of experience across all user personas (ExCom, Leaders, Analysts, Local teams)

Apply and promote Quartz design system principles across all BI assets

Establish design guidelines for data visualization best practices (clarity, visual hierarchy, progressive disclosure, and data storytelling)

Development & RUN

Dashboard & Analytics Experience Design

Design end-to-end user experiences for dashboards, including navigation, filtering, drill-down, and storytelling

Simplify complex datasets into clear, actionable visual insights

Ensure all dashboards are optimized for:

Accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first navigation, screen-reader and contrast compliance)

Performance, responsiveness, and perceived speed

Cross-device use (web today, mobile and ambient surfaces next)

Partner with Data Quality and Product teams to ensure alignment between data accuracy and user perception

2. User-Centric Development & Adoption

Conduct user research and usability testing to continuously improve experience

Define and track UX success metrics (e.g., adoption, task success, time-to-insight, and user sentiment) and use them to prioritize design work

Create and maintain design prototypes and reusable UX components for scalability

Support adoption by ensuring dashboards are self-explanatory and decision-oriented

Use behavioral analytics and A/B testing to drive evidence-based, continuous improvement

3. Collaboration & Delivery

Work closely with:

Business Product Owners (feature definition & prioritization)

Data Engineers and Analysts (data structure and constraints)

Visualization developers (implementation in BI tools such as Tableau)

Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to backlog refinement and sprint delivery

Ensure design-to-development consistency, validating implementation against design specifications

4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Drive innovation in:

Advanced data visualization techniques

Conversational analytics and AI-driven UX (e.g., search, natural language interaction)

Benchmark external best practices to continuously elevate SE Intel UX maturity

Contribute to defining next-generation analytics experiences for SE Intel

5. Team & Stakeholder Management

Act as the UX expert within SE Intel, guiding teams on best practices and standards

Influence stakeholders at all levels (including senior leadership) on the importance of UX in analytics adoption

Collaborate across global teams to ensure consistent experience at scale

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Experience & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field

Proven UX/UI design experience for analytics, BI platforms, or data products, with a portfolio of shipped, data-rich interfaces

Strong expertise in:

Data visualization principles

User-centered design methodologies

Wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)

Experience designing for at least one major BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and an understanding of analytics environments and their constraints

Data literacy: comfortable reading data models and reasoning about how data shape drives interface design

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to engage technical and business stakeholders

Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams

Comfort with AI-assisted design and accessibility tooling in the day-to-day workflow
