About the Role
Seeking an ambitious, commercially minded, and values-driven Social Enterprise Manager to lead and grow our social enterprise soap and skincare business. This is an exciting opportunity to combine commercial leadership with social impact, supporting the employment, training, and development of people with visual impairments while driving sustainable business growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the social enterprise, ensuring strong commercial performance alongside measurable social outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Commercial Development
Develop and deliver the enterprise growth strategy to deliver sustainable commercial and social outcomes.
Drive revenue growth through the development of new markets, sales channels, partnerships, and product opportunities.
Identify and secure opportunities with retailers, distributors, corporate clients, and public sector customers.
Build and maintain strong external relationships and negotiate commercial agreements.
Monitor market trends, customer insights, and business performance to inform strategic decision-making.
Marketing & Brand
Lead the development and delivery of marketing, digital, public relations, and promotional strategies.
Strengthen brand awareness and effectively communicate the social impact and mission of the enterprise.
Support new product development and launches.
Monitor and evaluate marketing activities to maximise return on investment and customer engagement.
Operations & Supply Chain
Oversee all aspects of production, procurement, inventory management, fulfilment, and distribution.
Ensure efficient operations, high-quality standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Manage supplier relationships and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and operational enhancements.
Ensure appropriate systems, processes, and controls are in place to support business growth.
People Leadership
Lead, support, and develop a diverse workforce, including employees with visual impairments.
Foster an inclusive, accessible, and supportive working environment.
Manage staff performance, training, engagement, wellbeing, and professional development.
Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Financial & Governance Management
Manage budgets, profitability, cash flow, and financial reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health and safety standards, and relevant operational regulations.
Identify and manage organisational and operational risks and board reporting.
Social Impact
Deliver measurable employment, training, and development outcomes.
Champion accessibility, inclusion, and the wider mission of ChildVision.
Develop and maintain partnerships with disability organisations, community groups, funders, and key stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

Understanding of accessibility and inclusive employment practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to balance commercial objectives with social impact goals.
Full Clean Irish Driving License for a manual vehicle essential
Desirable Requirements
Minimum of three years' management experience.
Experience working within a social enterprise environment.
Experience in skincare, cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods sectors.
Experience in charity, social enterprise, or impact-led organisations.
Experience driving e-commerce and digital sales growth.
Experience working within the disability sector.
Knowledge of public sector procurement processes.
Understanding of ESG, social value frameworks, and impact measurement.
Relevant qualification(s) in business, management, marketing, operations, leadership, or project management.
