About the role

As a Sr. Category Manager, you will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for key commodities, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term value creation. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams, influence strategic business decisions, and build strong supplier relationships that support operational excellence and new product development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr. Category Manager, you'll be responsible for:

Developing and executing category and commodity strategies aligned with business objectives and manufacturing priorities.

Leading strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management to deliver cost savings and long-term value.

Building and managing strategic supplier relationships to improve quality, delivery, innovation, and overall supplier performance.

Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and New Product Development teams to support sourcing decisions and business growth.

Driving continuous improvement initiatives, supplier risk mitigation, and cost optimization through data-driven decision making.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are strategic, analytical, collaborative, and results-driven, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing within a manufacturing environment.

Proven experience leading Category or Commodity Management strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management.

Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier relationship management (SRM), and total cost of ownership (TCO).

Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead complex sourcing initiatives in a global organization.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and engineering-driven sourcing projects.

Exposure to global sourcing strategies and international supplier management.

Experience implementing cost reduction, supplier development, or continuous improvement initiatives.
