About the role

You will play a key role in safeguarding the commercial interests of the business, working closely with project management, engineering, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The role will be based in Spain, with opportunity to travel in the future also cited.

Your day will include:

Full commercial management of the project, from pre-contract through construction and final account

Preparation, management, and control of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsLeading procurement strategies, including package scoping,

Tender evaluation, negotiation, and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers

Administration of main contract and subcontracts, including valuations, change control, variations, and claims management

Preparation and agreement of interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts

Proactive identification and mitigation of commercial risks and opportunitiesMonitoring project cash flow and ensuring accurate financial forecasting

Supporting project teams with commercial input on programme changes, value engineering, and design development

Ensuring compliance with company commercial procedures, governance, and reporting requirements

Managing and mentoring junior members of the commercial team where required

Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, and the supply chain

About You

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction/commercial discipline

Minimum of several years' experience operating in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on large-scale construction projects

Strong background in general contracting, with experience managing complex subcontract packages

Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge, ideally with experience of standard forms of contract

Proven ability to lead commercial aspects of projects independently while collaborating effectively within multidiscipline teamsStrong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Confident working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with multiple priorities

Strong proficiency in cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial systemsCommitment to delivering results to the highest professional standards
