Your job

You work in a DevOps team responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of software to automate and support business processes. You design, build and maintain the cloud‑native services used in Pensions applications for our customers who can apply, view or change their pension products. As a senior java engineer, you will work in a fast paced environment. We love to share knowledge and to challenge each other to get better. Your work area include:

Develop APIs that are scalable and highly performant.

Create and maintain application code in Java Spring Boot.

Produce robust code in the Azure Cloud, or on premise.

Work and maintain applications in a DevOps team with autonomy and participate proactively in team decisions.

Work on the training and learnings path created as part of the chosen development plan.

Collaborate with team members.

Active participation in the relevant communities like Java, Azure etc.

Working environment

You will join an international, multidisciplinary DevOps team within the Wealth grid. The team includes developers, analysts and UX/product specialists from different backgrounds and nationalities. We collaborate closely, enjoy learning from one another and value experimentation and continuous improvement. We work hybrid, with at least one day per week in the office for teamwork and knowledge sharing. As part of a bank committed to sustainability, we focus on creating digital solutions that reduce operational waste and improve efficiency.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for overall system health and delivery and embraces shifting product scopes and evolving technology stacks.

5+ years of developing software in Java with an extensive proven experience in developing microservices over a RESTFul architecture integrating with different systems.

Hands-on experience in working with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, consuming SOAP services and Rest APIs

Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc.

Experience in delivering quality software in accordance to the standards set in CI tools such Sonarqube, fortify and nexus.

Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), version control , release and change management.

Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps is an advantage.

Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable.

Experience with Security frameworks (e.g., JWT, OATH2)
