As the Principal Cloud Consultant you are a senior-level professional who will provide expert advice and guidance to our clients on a variety of business and technical issues. They are responsible for leading Cloud, Infrastructure, or End User Experience (EUE) projects, promoting those engagements, supporting the sales pipeline of engagements through enablement and reusable intellectual property (IP), building and maintaining relationships with clients, and developing junior peers in the practice.

THE ROLE

In your role you will be responsible for:

Client Delivery

Lead client engagements and build client relationships to develop an understanding of the right fit of Cloud, Infrastructure, and EUE consulting offerings to help our clients take their next step.

Manage budget and forecasted effort for client engagements alongside the Project Manager.

Assist to develop proposals, tender responses and provide support to Account Managers and Business Development Managers.

Provide quality control and management oversight for relevant engagements.

Able to prepare and deliver clear, professional reports and presentations tailored to C-level stakeholders.

Collaborate with the pre-sales team to scope solution requirements, develop technical proposals, and contribute to effort estimation and pricing activities for potential clients.

Practice Growth & Offerings

Develop and maintain Cloud, Infrastructure, and EUE market offerings.

Promote maturity in market offerings through enablement, creation of reusable IP, automations, and efficiency accelerators.

Contribute to team utilisation rates, resourcing, and proactive engagement management to achieve targets.

People & Capability

Provide guidance and mentoring to the wider team that uplifts the quality of deliverables and provides proactive, constructive feedback on areas of technical development.

Develop and provide thought leadership in primary area(s) of expertise and look for opportunities to broaden knowledge into other supporting areas through training, coaching/mentoring, and personal research.

These responsibilities may evolve as our business and our clients’ needs change. Significant changes will be discussed with you in advance.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To succeed in this role, you will have the following experience and competencies.

10+ years of senior IT technical service delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability.

Advanced, in-depth knowledge of Azure and associated technologies.

Prior experience working within an SI and/or IT services organisation.

Extensive experience of the broader technology ecosystem, common approaches to managing technology, modern technology concepts and expertise in at least one focused area of practice.

Experience in a lead and/or project lead managing teams

End-to-end engagement lifecycle management experience, from pre-sales and account management activities to billing.

Strong experience in successfully leading engagements that have produced positive and tangible business outcomes.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to develop, lead and facilitate stakeholder workshops to identify problems and develop solutions using contemporary approaches.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and build confidence at every level of an organisation.

A strong client focus and a strength in taking ownership to proactively monitor customer satisfaction while negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.

Highly developed conceptual, analytic, and system thinking skills.

High level of organisation and time management to enable you to prioritise effectively and to successfully deliver multiple client engagements concurrently.

Ability to work autonomously and proactively, while still being a strong team contributor.
