Who will you join?

The Accounting Hub as part of Group Accounting and Reporting in H2 is a central provider of accounting functions for Allianz entities in Germany and worldwide. We provide a wide range of financial services and are a center of competence for investment accounting, subledger accounting, closing& reporting for insurance and non-insurance entities and the maintenance and development of our financial systems.The Investments Competence Center team within the Accounting Hub is responsible for investment-related accounting topics within Allianz worldwide. The position plays a key role as a key interface between Investment Accounting, Investment Management, and Asset Manager providing technical guidance on complex IFRS and HGB questions, particularly those relating to the accounting and structuring of investment vehicles, ensuring high quality closing procedures and fulfilling compliant accounting requirements and ensuring that even the most challenging issues are addressed with precision and professionalism.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

Review and interpret new and existing accounting standards (primarily HGB and IFRS), monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on investments

Develop, update and maintain accounting policy documents and guidelines for investment-related transactions

Provide accounting analyses, technical guidance and advisory support to internal stakeholders (Investment Accounting, Investment Management, Asset Managers) on complex accounting issues and the structuring of investment vehicles according to HGB and IFRS, also in exchange with the external auditors or the Group Accounting Policy department (IFRS)

Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and reporting processes, providing documentation and explanations as needed

Contribute to projects aimed at implementation of new accounting standards, enhancing accounting processes, including automation, standardization, and IT system improvements

What are you made of?

You are eager to take on responsibility and actively shape processes, systems, and structures in the finance area. You are excited about collaborating with various Allianz entities, both domestically and internationally, as well as with regulatory authorities and auditors. Your key qualifications are:

Extensive knowledge of IFRS and HGB, with professional experience in investment accounting, accounting policy, or audit, ideally focusing on financial instruments, complex transaction structures, and regulatory reporting

Successful completion of the German Wirtschaftsprüferexamen or an international qualification such as CPA or ACCA

Proven track record in developing and implementing accounting policies, as well as assessing the impact of new accounting standards on investment portfolios

Excellent analytical and solution-oriented mindset, with strong communication and teamwork skills to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, in both German and English

Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus

Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
