We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise technology products that power critical banking capabilities.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will serve as the bridge between business strategy, engineering execution, and customer outcomes. You will partner closely with software engineers, automation engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand product roadmaps & prioritized investments, accelerate modernization initiatives, and deliver technology solutions that create measurable business value.

This role requires a strong combination of product management expertise, technical acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex technology challenges, influencing across organizational boundaries, and delivering products that improve operational efficiency, scalability, reliability, and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned to enterprise technology and business objectives.

Develop and maintain multi-year product roadmaps that balance customer needs, technical modernization, risk management, and business priorities.

Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and industry best practices that influence product direction.

Translate strategic objectives into measurable outcomes using OKRs, KPIs, and value-based prioritization.

Product Ownership & Delivery

Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment between roadmap priorities and engineering execution.

Lead product discovery activities, including user research, journey mapping, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering.

Create clear product requirements, epics, features, and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams.

Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation through delivery, adoption, optimization, and retirement.

Make data-driven prioritization decisions balancing customer value, technical debt reduction, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Technical Leadership

Develop a strong understanding of product architecture, platform dependencies, APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise technology standards.

Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Security teams to evaluate technology investment opportunities and architectural tradeoffs.

Influence modernization strategies, platform transformations, and scalability initiatives.

Champion secure, resilient, and maintainable solutions that support enterprise growth and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management

Build trusted partnerships with technology teams, business leaders, operations, risk, and compliance.

Lead product governance discussions and communicate roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and investment recommendations.

Align cross-functional teams around shared outcomes and product objectives.

Present product strategies, business cases, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

Product Performance & Continuous Improvement

Establish and monitor product health metrics, adoption trends, operational performance indicators, and business outcomes.

Analyze internal and external data to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, customer feedback, and performance analytics.

Measure and communicate realized business value from product investments.

Agile Leadership

Champion Agile product management principles and continuous delivery practices.

Collaborate with scrum teams to facilitate planning, prioritization, and execution.

Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and customer-centric decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

6+ years of Product Management, Technical Product Management, Software Development, Architecture, or related technology experience.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, business, and operational stakeholders.

Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and Agile delivery processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing enterprise technology products, platforms, APIs, or banking systems.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, DevOps, and cloud technologies.

Experience working with platform modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise-scale technology implementations.

Knowledge of financial services technology, core banking systems, payments, customer information, deposits, or customer servicing platforms.

Mainframe and/or Hogan application experience preferred.

Strong analytical skills with experience using metrics, KPIs, OKRs, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.

Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead through organizational complexity.

Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
