What You Will Do:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support timely and accurate general ledger close processes.

Record transactional activities including treasury/finance, corporate operating, and administrative expenses.

Perform monthly G/L account reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.

Conduct variance analysis of corporate results and provide insights to stakeholders.

Support preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and internal analysis for Corporate functions.

Respond to ad hoc queries and provide analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making.

Work closely with the Supervisor, Manager, and other extended team members in finding opportunities for improvement in execution to increase timeliness and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and find opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting timelines.

Provide hands on assistance to the internal and external auditors, including the collection and analysis of financial information and supporting documents requested by the auditors.

Who You Are:

University degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field; CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.

2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with systems such as Oracle Financials, Hyperion, SmartView, or Essbase is an asset.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles.

Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills combined with a goal-focused business approach.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
