The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Accountant. This job is full-time permanent.
Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, your role will consist of recording and monitoring financial accounting transactions while supporting the corporate accounting function.
Your challenges:
Prepare accounting entries
Perform month-end closing processes, including:
Intercompany reconciliations
Month-end reporting
Analyze various balance sheet accounts
Support analysis of financing expenses as well as environmental and legal provisions
Participate in meetings with other departments to discuss and follow up on issues identified through reconciliations and analyses
Contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual budget preparation
Assist in year-end tax forms and financial reporting preparation
Your skills:
Strong interest in learning and acquiring new skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proactive, with a collaborative team-oriented approach
Your profile:
Bilingual French and English (Required for all Corporate Positions)
University degree in Accounting (completed or in progress)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
Professional designation (CPA) is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of GAAP and SAP (FI/CO) is considered an asset
