Description

We are looking for individuals to join our team who are forward thinking, solutions-focused, innovative and that bring high energy and an entrepreneurial spirit to the forefront of everything they do. Reporting to the SVP, Account Leadership, the primary purpose of the Account Director role is to be a trusted partner to our clients and to deliver excellent client experiences that lead to strong organic growth and referrals.

The Account Director develops a strong partnership with the client by providing strategic support and executional excellence. He/she collaborates with the SVP, Account Leadership, as well as other Addison Whitney and Syneos Health departments to build a high-performing, proactive team that clients see as an invaluable extension of their own. The Account Director is responsible for building relationships with the client team, leading client and internal calls, and partnering with the assigned Project Manager to effectively manage projects in collaboration with client and internal teams, while ensuring projects are appropriately resourced to achieve objectives in a profitable manner.

From a business growth perspective, the Account Director is responsible for prospecting and identifying new business opportunities (organic and inorganic) in assigned accounts, presenting capabilities to prospective clients, responding to RFPs/RFIs, leading pitch presentation development and execution, making pricing decisions and writing proposals to achieve profitability goals, collaborating with the SVP, Account Leadership, and other internal and Syneos Health colleagues, closing new business, and implementing start-up procedures.

Job qualifications and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Good communicator who can develop a clear, well-supported point of view, tell a compelling “story,” and “sell” agency work (e.g., creative, branding, strategy)

Leader who commands attention and respect, can manage group dynamics and difficult situations, and steer clients or agency teams in the right direction

Team player who partners with internal team and other Syneos Health agencies, as applicable, to develop a strong strategic and/or creative point of view

Provides constructive feedback in a professional manner to any department to create even better work

Able to work within a team environment, helping ensure the team functions at a high level and continues to be motivated

Knowledge and application of new technologies and innovations affecting the health marketplace, including Artificial Intelligence tools

Build and maintain strong client relationships across Addison Whitney and Syneos Health

Demonstrate strong understanding Addison Whitney and Syneos Health capabilities

Meet assigned outreach, sales, business opportunity and revenue goals

Proactively approaches opportunities, project challenges and other situations with curiosity and genuine interest in creative solutions

Contribute positively to team-oriented culture centered around respect and accountability

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience required

Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Biotech and Medical Technology/Devices is strongly preferred

Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work well both within a team and independently

Able to travel periodically to conferences and to the home office in Charlotte, NC

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
