Job Summary

The Global Service Procurement Desk Buyer manages end-to-end procurement of indirect services at a global level, ensuring timely execution, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies. The role supports internal stakeholders, coordinates with suppliers, monitors performance, and drives process improvements while maintaining high service quality and accurate data management.

The Global Service Procurement Desk Buyer is responsible for executing sourcing and purchasing activities for indirect services on a global scale. This role supports internal stakeholders by ensuring timely procurement of services, compliance with company policies, and delivery of cost-effective solutions while maintaining high supplier performance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Execution

Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders (POs) for services across multiple regions.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of procurement documentation and system data (e.g., SAP, ZIP, Arena).

Execute sourcing events for low- to medium-complexity service categories (e.g., consulting, marketing, IT services).

Supplier Management

Coordinate with approved suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and confirm service delivery timelines.

Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues when needed.

Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance activities.

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a primary point of contact for internal customers regarding service procurement requests.

Provide guidance on procurement processes, policies, and preferred suppliers.

Collaborate with category managers, legal, and finance teams to align on sourcing strategies and contract requirements.

Contract & Compliance

Ensure all purchases comply with internal procurement policies, legal standards, and regional regulations.

Review and validate contracts for standard service agreements, working with legal when needed.

Maintain proper documentation for audit readiness.

Cost Optimization & Efficiency

Identify opportunities for cost savings, demand consolidation, and process improvements.

Support strategic sourcing initiatives led by category management teams.

Leverage preferred supplier agreements and catalogs to drive compliance and savings.

Reporting & Data Management

Track and report procurement metrics such as cycle time, savings, and supplier performance.

Maintain accurate records in procurement systems and generate reports as required.

Analyze purchasing trends to identify opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing (preferably in indirect/services categories).

Experience working in a global or multi-regional environment is preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).

Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills.

Familiarity with contract management tools is a plus.

Multilingual capabilities for global stakeholder support.
