About the role

VHIR is seeking a Study Coordinator specialised in neuromuscular diseases to join the Peripheral Nervous System Research Group.

Our laboratory, in the Neuromuscular Disorders Unit of the Neurology Service, has a twenty-year history of clinical care and research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other motor neurone diseases (hereditary, spastic paraplegia, post-polio syndrome, Hirayama disease, spinal muscular atrophy), myasthenia gravis, genetically determined myopathies, and peripheral neuropathies. Our main lines of research focus on the molecular mechanisms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and how genetic mutations in family ELA predispose or modify genetic factors. We also look for effective biomarkers in blood and in cerebrospinal fluid that allow the evaluation of new medication.

Main responsibilities and duties:

Coordinate and manage clinical trials together with Investigators

Education and qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Biosciences

Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (professional proficiency)

Desirable:

Master in Clinical Trials

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

Experience working in clinical trials

At least 1 year of experience working as Study Coordinator

Labour conditions:

Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Gross annual salary: €26,000.00 - €28,000.00 Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.

Contract type:Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
