Lead - Content Strategy
Skills
About the role
Role Description:
At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. And innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We’re the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you encounter. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the memories you make. Through our products, partners and people, we make it easier for everyone to experience the world!
As Lead Content Strategy, you own the end-to-end strategy behind how we communicate and engage with our accommodation partners: from the narratives we build to the way they land across our self-serve digital channels. You connect what Booking.com needs commercially with what our partners actually need to operate and grow on the platform, and you translate that into content strategies that drive real behaviour change: more product adoption, stronger partner satisfaction, fewer support contacts.
This is a role for someone who strategically thinks in systems, not just digital campaigns. You'll set direction, define what we say and why, secure stakeholder buy-in and make sure our content has a measurable impact across the full partner journey - tailored to where a partner is, what they need, and how they engage with us. And you'll help shape how we do that in an AI-first way - using data, personalised insights, and AI tooling to understand different partner audiences at scale and build strategies that are both more relevant and more impactful.
This role is not for everyone
You’re looking for a hands-on writing role? We already have a talented team of copywriters and content creators who excel at crafting the narrative.
You prefer to own the technical deployment and production of content? We partner with a dedicated Content Management team that brings our strategies to life, so you can stay focused on setting the strategic direction
You’d rather work in isolation? We’re looking for a proactive professional who thrives on collaborating, educating stakeholders, and selling a strategic vision across the organization.
You’re resistant to experimentation or using AI tools? We are pushing the boundaries of content strategy, using a ‘fail-fast’ mindset and GenAI to drive velocity and impact.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Scope: Own the overarching content strategy and definition of partner facing narratives resulting in partner centric content experiences that drive partner satisfaction and product adoption and decrease our support tickets.
Performance / impact: Own the performance targets focused on the engagement and impact KPI's for the Digital Partner content team and provide insights and actions on the annual business targets.

Beyond just adopting tools, you will define AI-augmented, insight-driven strategy in practice while building team capabilities. This requires a hands-on, test-and-learn mindset with the ambition to scale success.
Backlog Management: Manage and prioritize a backlog of hypotheses and projects based on their business impact and the impact on the partners, ensuring timely delivery and efficient allocation of resources.

Collaboration: Effectively achieve your impact drivers within the scope of responsibility by fostering enhanced stakeholder collaboration. This involves actively engaging with and gaining the support of key stakeholders,, ensuring their alignment with performance indicators and goals to drive meaningful outcomes.
Analytics: Conduct (basic) analysis of performance, commercial and market data to derive commercial insights and define hypotheses.
Authority: Be seen as an authority in your craft by sharing knowledge and insights, thereby making your impact visible and positioning oneself as an expert within the business. This involves guiding, consulting, educating, and supporting team members within and outside the department.
