About the role
Since 1980, Arrow Speed Controls Limited (ASC) has been a leading Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) integrator across North America, with over 20,000 successful applications. We design and assemble advanced motor control solutions, including VFDs, DC drives, soft starters, servo systems, and PLC-based automation.
We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead Arrow Speed Controls East’s manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across our production environment.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations while leading the transformation of ASC East into a world-class, scalable, and high-performing facility. You will play a critical role in optimizing processes, improving on-time delivery (OTD), enhancing quality, and driving operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building systems, improving performance, and leading teams through change.
This position is for a newly created role.
What You’ll Do:
Operational Leadership
Oversee all engineering, supply chain, and production activities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
Process & Systems Development
Design and implement Order-to-Delivery processes within ERP systems
Define manufacturing workflows, routing, capacity planning, and production control
Lead the development of centralized supply chain management (SCM) processes, including procurement and inventory optimization
Lead the implementation of standard configurable designs for engineered to order products.
Continuous Improvement
Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (5S, standard work, process optimization, automation)
Identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements across operations
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, ISO, and internal quality standards
Develop and maintain safety and regulatory programs
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve performance goals
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to align priorities and resolve operational challenges
What You Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field
Experience:
Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations management
Strong background in production processes, planning, and supply chain
Demonstrated success implementing Lean and/or Six Sigma initiatives
Certifications: Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is an asset
Skills:
Strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making
Financial and operational acumen
