Footlocker Inc has an exciting Product Manager opportunity with responsibility leading the agile development of Stores products by setting the vision while working with relevant stakeholders across the organization. This individual relies on their deep understanding of the target market/industry to collaborate with business domain partners and subject-matter experts to identify solutions, unlock digital assets, and solve complex problems.

The PM is part of the Stores team and has responsibility for leading and running an agile pod focused on POS Foundation. The role interacts with their pod and relevant stakeholders to translate the vision into a delivery roadmap that considers organizational milestones, sequencing, capacity constraints, and dependencies. They identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with other teams and groups in the organization to improve overall delivery effectiveness. They are responsible for the product backlog, including its content, availability, quality, and prioritization. They collaborate with the team to refine the backlog to ensure clarity. They actively engage with other teams to manage dependencies during delivery to reduce delays. They are responsible for identifying KPIs for the product and translating those into incremental goals via quarterly OKRs. The OKRs include leading and lagging indicators to provide end-to-end visibility into both the development work and its effectiveness in producing the desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Manage foundational Xstore Point of Sale capabilities, including Global Compliance

Champion platform reliability, observability, and operational readiness

Set clear product vision and communicate it effectively to the team and all relevant stakeholders

Lead the team through the agile product development life-cycle

Be accountable for product KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders

Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into a compelling product vision, quarterly OKRs, and a prioritized product backlog

Advocate for business stakeholders in providing timely insights that can inform other actions to drive growth and improvement

Provide high-quality, detailed input for planning events (quarterly, sprint)

Engage with the team to maintain a refined product backlog of two to three sprints ahead of current development work

Lead product demonstrations at the end of each sprint (and ad hoc, when needed)

Reflect honestly on their own work and participate in team retrospectives to promote best practices and continuous improvement

Act as the “voice of the customer to the team” to represent the desires of the business and other GTS teams

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience

Product management with Agile and Scrum preferred

Relevant certification preferred (e.g., CSPO, PSPO I)

Proven knowledge and understanding of the business domain and industry trends

Awareness of relevant technology

Experienced in leading teams in an Agile setting (e.g., participating in Scrum events, creating and managing a backlog and release plan, understanding team metrics)

Ability to combine domain expertise with technology knowledge to envision solutions and then express that via a prioritized product backlog

Strong leader, collaborator, and individual contributor

Effective communicator across organizational levels and groups

Dynamic problem-solver who can lead the exploration of solution possibilities; incorporate the wisdom of sponsors, subject-matter experts, and the team; and align on a clear direction

Empowered to make decisions (i.e., not an “order-taker”)

Willing and able to “roll up the sleeves” and go outside your comfort zone to learn and innovate

Experimental mindset to drive innovation; empowers the team to fail, learn, and grow

Benefits:

The annual base salary range is $90,000 - $120,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
