Linux DevOps-System Engineer

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Linux DevOps-System Engineer to join our team located in the Ft. Meade, MD area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Leveraging Git for version control and GitLab CI/CD for automating processes.

Developing and maintaining Python, Bash scripts.

Automating system configurations using Ansible for efficient infrastructure management.

Updating and maintaining Puppet modules, manifests, and Hiera data configurations.

Applying knowledge in infrastructure, hardware, and networking.

Utilizing secure RESTful APIs

Foundational experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or 10 years of total experience without a degree.

Experience with Linux

Experience with Puppet, Ansible

Experience with Bash, Python

Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD

Experience with Structured data formats (Examples: JSON, YAML, XML)

Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence)

Experience with Infrastructure, Hardware, and Networking

Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) (Packaging with RPM Spec)

Containerization experience using Docker, Podman or Kubernetes

Clearance Requirement:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.

Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
