About the job:
The Digital Data, AI & Analytics team at Opella drives transformation through data-driven decision-making, advanced analytics, and AI-powered solutions. Within this team, the Master Data, Data Governance & Market Data group ensures robust data practices, governance, and actionable insights to support strategic business decisions across the organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Product Owner – Horizon is responsible for the end-to-end execution and delivery of Horizon as a senior leadership web application.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. The Product Owner will own backlog, sprint execution, stakeholder alignment, and release quality, ensuring Horizon is delivered on time, within budget, with high usability, and continuous improvement.
The role requires strong discipline in breaking down ambiguous leadership needs into clear, buildable requirements, and driving teams to deliver consistently in an Agile environment.
The Product Owner – Horizon will be responsible for driving the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Horizon, Opella’s next-generation Progressive Web App for Opella CEO, Executive Committee and Senior Leadership, while also supporting and enhancing Sinergi as an enterprise analytics interface (including conversational and BI-driven capabilities).
Horizon is not a reporting tool. It is a decision cockpit, which focuses on clarity, narrative, and speed.
This role requires strong product thinking, executive empathy, and the ability to translate complex, multi-dimensional business inputs into simple, high-impact user experiences.
The Product Owner will ensure Horizon delivers:
Clarity over complexity (what matters, not everything)
Narrative over raw data (so what, now what)
Speed to insight (minutes, not hours or days)
Consistency across markets and functions
This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, owning product strategy and execution to enable intuitive, scalable, and insight-driven experiences for global and local stakeholders. The Product Owner will work closely with Opella Senior Leadership, data teams, BI teams, and business users to create high-impact product capabilities.
Main responsibilities:
Backlog Ownership & Sprint Execution
Own and manage the Horizon product backlog with well-defined, prioritized user stories
Translate leadership and business needs into clear acceptance criteria and actionable tickets
Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure sprint commitments are realistic and consistently delivered
undefined
Delivery Management
Drive end-to-end delivery across design, engineering, and data teams
Track progress, identify risks/blockers early, and proactively resolve them
Ensure high-quality releases with strong focus on usability, performance, and stability
Maintain clear visibility of delivery status, timelines, and dependencies
Own and manage the Horizon backlog with a sharp focus on business impact and usability
Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver a high-quality, responsive web application
Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure timely, iterative releases
Balance speed with polish; this is a high-visibility product for leadership
Requirement Structuring & Clarity
Break down complex, ambiguous requirements into simple, structured product increments
Define user flows, screen-level requirements, and interaction logic in detail
Work closely with designers to ensure requirements translate into clean, intuitive UX
Avoid over-engineering - focus on MVP-first, iterative delivery
undefined
Stakeholder Coordination (Execution-Focused)
Act as the single point of contact between business stakeholders and delivery teams
Gather inputs, clarify requirements, and manage expectations on scope and timelines
Ensure fast turnaround on feedback and incorporate it into subsequent sprints
Drive alignment without slowing down delivery
undefined
Release & Adoption Management
Plan and manage releases, including UAT, sign-offs, and production deployment
Ensure readiness of features before release (tested, validated, documented)
Support rollout and adoption by ensuring the product is intuitive and reliable
Continuously collect user feedback and feed it into backlog prioritization
undefined
Define and Drive the Horizon Vision
Own Horizon as a leadership-facing product, ensuring it meets the needs of senior executives (Global & Regional)
Define what an “ideal executive experience” looks like - what decisions need to be enabled, what signals matter, and how they should be presented
Establish guiding principles: simplicity, relevance, speed, and actionability
undefined
Design a Best-in-Class Executive Experience
Translate complex business inputs into clean, intuitive, and minimalistic UI/UX
Define how insights are structured: performance summaries, exception-based views, trend signals, and forward-looking indicators
Ensure the product answers key leadership questions instantly (e.g., “What’s changing?”, “Where do I need to act?”, “What’s the risk?”)
Drive consistency in how metrics, visuals, and narratives are presented across the platform
undefined
Stakeholder Engagement (Senior Leadership Focus)
Engage directly with senior stakeholders to gather feedback and refine the product experience
Act as a translator between executives and delivery teams - distilling vague needs into clear product requirements
Drive alignment across functions to ensure Horizon reflects a single, consistent view of the business
undefined
Adoption & Value Realization
Drive adoption of Horizon as the default platform for leadership reviews and decision-making
Continuously measure product effectiveness (usage, decision speed, stakeholder satisfaction)
Iterate based on feedback to ensure sustained relevance and impact
