Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Engineers to join our dedicated team at your office in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad locations.

To lead and deliver the Deliverables for Mechanical, Clean/Black Utilities, and Piping systems in Life Science facilities.

Basic GMP knowledge for GMP facilities will be added advantage

To Prepare Basis of Design document, Piping material specifications

To assist/Review utility Building layout, Boiler house layout, Gas bank layout.

To assist/Review Utility foundation layout

To assist/Review internal/external piping layout with sections

To calculate Pump head, Lie sizing for water, gases

To calculate Piping MTO

To assist/Review Isometric drawings

To assist/Review nozzle orientation layout.

Independently coordinate with other disciplines for inputs/ SQUAD Check documents

Should be able to review Input drawings like Civil structural pipe rack, Civil foundation, RCP, Fire system layouts

To assist/Review insert plate, puddle flanges input drawings

To assist/Review Utility Pendent /Pipe in pipe layout

To assist/Review Laboratory gases piping layout

To assist/Review Process drain services layout

To assist/Review Black & clean utilities generation, distribution P & IDs

To assist/Review Clean utility piping

Fire protection system knowledge would be an added advantage

Proficient in 3D Review with Nevis Freedom.

Vendor drawing reviews.

Coordinate with Process, HVAC, Electrical, Civil/Arch teams for multidiscipline model accuracy.

Should be able to lead the project with assigned designers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

BE/B Tech in Chemical/ Mechanical engineering from recognized institute with 7+ years’ experience in life sciences design consultancy.

Any other course would be an added advantage.
