Job Title: UFT Tester

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced UFT Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated tests using Micro Focus UFT, work closely with Manual tester, developers, and BA.

Key Responsibilities

. Test Automation, Manul testing

. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT (VBScript-based)

. Build and enhance the automation framework (keyword-driven, data-driven, or hybrid)

. Integrate UFT scripts with ALM/Quality Center for test management and execution

. Test Planning & Execution

. Analyze business requirements and technical specs to derive test scenarios

. Prepare Test Plans and Test Cases

. Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity test cycles

. Defect Management

. Log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM

. Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with dev teams for resolution

. Reporting

. Generate test execution reports

Required Skills & QualificationsCore Technical Skills

. 5–8 years of experience in software testing with at least 4+ years in UFT/QTP automation

. Strong command of VBScript for UFT script development

. Experience with Object Repository (shared & local), Descriptive Programming, and Regular Expressions

. Proficiency in SQL for backend/database validation

. Experience with web application testing, API automation

. Experience with API testing using SoapUI

. Knowledge of XML/JSON for API-level validation

. Testing Knowledge

. Experience in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
