Position: Group Finance Manager

Role Overview:

The Group Finance Manager will report directly to the President and play a pivotal role in strategic financial planning, accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the finance team in daily operations, including accounts payable & receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

Develop and monitor annual budgets in alignment with the institution's strategic goals.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management.

Conduct financial analysis to support the planning of future academic programs and initiatives.

Implement and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Collaborate with heads of departments to forecast and optimise resources.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory requirements, and reporting standards.

Manage cash flow and optimise financial operations to support the institution's growth.

Review monthly payroll and perform bank submissions for staff and adjunct lecturers.

Oversee and manage all tax-related matters, including GST reporting and filing, corporate tax compliance, and liaison with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities.

Ensure timely submission of all statutory filings and regulatory requirements, including annual returns, surveys, and other compliance obligations with relevant government agencies.

Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and recommendations.

Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, and implement necessary updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).

Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within an international private education setting.

Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's financial regulations and accounting standards.

Strong business acumen, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

Proficiency in Xero/Quickbook online is an advantage.
