Our client is a Singapore based accounting firm supporting Japanese companies expanding their business overseas especially in Asia. They provide a wide range of specialist services related to accounting, finance and taxation leveraging on the accountants' qualifications in Japan and Singapore. They also provide consulting services for business expansion from business start-up support accompanying the above expert service.
Job Description:
Bookkeeping and Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting schedules
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports (BS, PL and relevant schedules)
Tax Services: Prepare and submit GST returns and other tax filings in compliance with IRAS regulations.
Prepare and submit withholding tax filings.
Assist with the preparation of corporate tax computations and submissions.
Provide tax advisory support to clients.
Financial Statements and Audit: Compile accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with SFRS.
Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the audit process.
Client Management: Provide excellent client service and address client inquiries promptly.
Maintain strong client relationships.
Provide accounting and tax advisory to clients.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with SFRS and relevant IRAS regulations.
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting and tax regulations.
Perform any other ad-hoc accounting and tax-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field
Having accounting working experience in the accounting firm/corporate taxation, preferably about 1 year experience.
Experience in double-entry is preferred.
Basic understanding of SFRS and IRAS regulations, GST, corporate income tax or withholding tax
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP B1) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Preferably those with customer-facing experience
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to effectively multitask and priorities tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation:
Work location: Shenton Way, Singapore
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm
