Finance Business Controller (Freight Forwarding)

About the role

As a Finance Business Controller – Freight Forwarding at DP World, you will drive financial performance and act as a key business partner to operations and commercial teams. You will deliver accurate reporting, provide insightful analysis, and support decision-making to improve profitability and operational efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.

How you will contribute

Oversee all financial activities, including profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the freight forwarding division

Prepare and deliver accurate monthly reporting packs (MBR) in line with group standards and IFRS requirements

Act as a business partner to Operations and Sales, providing financial insights for contract negotiations and decision-making

Drive performance improvement through KPI development, financial analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives

Ensure effective working capital management and support CAPEX investment decisions with robust financial evaluation

Support regional teams, shared services, and audit processes, ensuring compliance and collaboration across functions

Lead reporting optimization and automation to improve efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities

What you will bring

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with min. 3 years’ experience in finance/accounting, including a management role

Fluent in Spanish and English with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Self-driven and reliable, able to work independently in demanding environments and support operations

Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills and ability to push boundaries

Experience with SAP, BPC, Oracle and advanced MS Office proficiency

Strong technical accounting knowledge and project management capabilities

Experience in logistics/contract logistics and mentoring others is a plus
