Post Summary:

Trinity College Dublin seeks to appoint a Learning & Organisation Development Officer to join the newly expanded Learning and Organisation Development (L&OD) team, a group of learning professionals with diverse backgrounds who serve the university’s broad staff base, professional and academic.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual, who is delivery focused with a continuous improvement ethos, who would like to their competence in the L&OD domain.

The post holder will have the skills and knowledge to design and deliver L&OD programmes and initiatives aligned to Trinity’s Strategic Plan “Thrive”, it’s mission and values.

Context

The role reports to the Head of Learning & Organisation Development and forms part of the Learning & Organisation Development team within the larger Human Resources Department at Trinity (approx. 60 staff).

Working as part of the Learning and Organisation Development team, the post holder will design, deliver and evaluate programmes and initiatives to build capability across the University, in an evolving higher-education environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong facilitation and administration skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders across the University.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Level 8 University degree in (HR, Psychology, Communications, Business-related field) or the equivalent proven experience in the successful co-ordination of Learning & Development initiatives within a comparable role (essential).

Relevant postgraduate qualification and / or coaching or facilitation accreditation (essential).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Learning and Development role (essential).

Experience of stakeholder consultation to clearly define requirements and desired outcomes (essential).

Post status: Permanent

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 pay scale (€59,589 - €70,018 per annum) in line with current Government pay policy.
