Job Description
Due to growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Project Management team in Adelaide are expanding and seeking a Project Director to join the senior leadership team.
As a Project Director with Turner & Townsend you must be capable to lead projects, manage a team, have a commercial focus and balance working across major projects. The successful applicant will be working closely with and supported by the Director for Project Management for South Australia.
Lead and manage large scale real estate projects as the key client interface
Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
Managing project safety and environmental requirements
Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
Qualifications
A recognised Degree qualification relating to a technical field: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management
10 – 15 years industry experience working on major health/retail/commercial/mixed-use developments
Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team
Strong business development acumen is highly desirable
Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients
Advanced Microsoft skills are essential.
Technical ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
Excellent communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
