Join us as Head of People Insights
In this key role, you’ll provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to improve employee experience, talent outcomes, and organisational effectiveness
We’ll look to you to act as a bridge between the People Function and the wider business, aligning people strategies with overall business priorities
This is an opportunity to partner with senior leaders to embed evidence-based decision-making across the bank, driving more informed and effective business outcomes
This role will be offered as a hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office to collaborate with colleagues
What you'll do
As Head of People Insights, you’ll lead the delivery of actionable, data-driven analysis across the employee lifecycle, translating these into clear strategies and interventions to improve performance, culture, and organisational health. You’ll also own and evolve enterprise colleague listening and employee value proposition strategies.
Moreover, you’ll provide effective contribution to relevant Boards and Committees in line with the terms of reference, the Corporate Governance policy, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. You’ll also act in accordance with good corporate governance principles mandated by the bank, operating within all delegated authority and expenditure limits, and overseeing adherence to these limits for direct reports.
In addition, you’ll be:
Establishing and advancing the people analytics roadmap, including the use of AI, and ensuring a single, compliant, and high-quality view of workforce data
Leading people analytics across the employee lifecycle, identifying trends, and delivering insight reports with actionable recommendations for the bank and Board
Generating and translating complex data into clear, compelling insights and narratives that inform strategy, performance, and organisational effectiveness
Providing independent assessment of engagement, culture, and People Strategy effectiveness, translating insights into interventions and continuous improvement initiatives
Owning and continuously evolving the enterprise-wide colleague listening strategy, ensuring timely insight into employee sentiment and enabling improvement actions
Driving the Employee Value Proposition strategy, including research, benchmarking, and delivery of interventions to strengthen engagement and employer brand
Leading, developing, and line managing a professional, capable, and engaged team to meet the needs of the business and customers
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to work with the People Executive Committee, function leadership teams, Finance, Risk, and senior delivery stakeholders. You must also have the ability to combine technical expertise with a strategic commercial mindset, and be skilled in using data, colleague metrics, benchmarking, and performance insight to support decision-making, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
In addition, you’ll need:
Experience leading professional teams, building capability, setting direction, and creating a culture of pace, accountability, collaboration, and measurable impact
A strong understanding of governance, risk management, control disciplines, and regulatory expectations in a first line environment
The ability to work effectively with key business leaders to understand the bank’s culture
A solid foundation in HR data analytics, data science, or organisational psychology
