Position Overview:
We are seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join SRE's Business Development team.
The individual will be responsible for supporting the firm's real estate business development efforts across primaries, co-investments and secondaries. Responsibilities will include supporting fundraising processes, content creation, and periodic interactions with existing and prospective clients.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop content for marketing and due diligence materials including presentations, fact cards, private placement memorandums, due diligence questionnaires etc.
Prepare responses to requests for information and proposals, track record analyses, third-party databases, competitor benchmarking and investor requests
Manage investor pipelines via Salesforce, tracking progression and preparing reports for senior stakeholders
Support the preparation and execution of investor meetings and roadshows including materials and tracking follow up
Collaborate across departments including research, asset and portfolio management, RFP, legal and compliance, tax, and portfolio reporting and analytics
Contribute to other business development initiatives as they arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
2-6 years of relevant work experience from financial services firms (e.g., private equity, capital advisory/placement agents, investment banks)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); proficiency with AI tools such as Claude and Copilot
Experience with Salesforce or Intralinks desirable
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the firm in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders
Self-starter with the ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and work well under pressure
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with private markets performance metrics to accurately maintain track record materials, support fund benchmarking, and respond to investor requests
