We have a strong team of Engineering Directors, Technical Program Managers, Functional Leads, Product Managers, Principal Engineers, Architects, and Software Engineers across our Digital Experience Engineering, Lending Platform Engineering, Foundational Platforms (Originations, Customer Servicing, Receivables, Billing, Payments, Collections, Securitization etc.), Cloud/DevX/Enterprise Testing & SRE/Automation, Architecture and Research, AI/MLOps & Analytics/Data Engineering practices who are supporting, managing our financial systems/applications & leading various IT Modernization and transformation programs delivery initiatives across the NA/EU/China/Mexico/Canada markets.

As a Software Engineer working in Ford Credit Tech, you will join a team that develop payments product using Spring boot Microservices with Java, Kotlin, deploy on GCP platform with MongoDb/Postgresql as database and React as Frontend. You will be collaborating closely and continuously with fellow engineers, designers and product owners to build, validate and release innovative software products early and often. You will continuously learn and mentor fellow team members while focusing on delivery of quality enterprise solutions.

Work Hours: between 11.30 AM and 9 PM IST

Validate and release applications using continuous integration and continuous delivery tools

Work in collaborative environment including pairing and mobbing with other cross-functional engineers

Work on a small agile team to deliver working, tested software

Work effectively with technical product manager, product owners, product designers, and other technical experts

Work on a team focused on delivering Available, Testable, and Portable solutions using Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Hexagonal Architecture, and Event Driven Architecture

Take time to continuously learn and share with peers

Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through technical knowledge/leadership skills and advocate for technical excellence

Developing exceptional user experiences with backend APIs using frameworks such as Spring Boot and Microservices

Opportunity to develop exceptional user experiences using React

5+ years of professional software development experience

4+ years of professional development experience using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Microservices, React

At least 2+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform

Have used continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines (e.g., Tekton, Cloud Build, Gradle, Kubernetes etc.)

Alerting and Monitoring experience with Cloud Monitoring/Dynatrace/Splunk etc.

Unit testing and Mocking frameworks experience

Relational or NoSQL database experience (Preferably MongoDB)

Proficiency with RESTful API standards/tools

Iterative development (Agile methodology) experience

Expertise in eXtreme Programming (XP) disciplines including:

AI-assisted development

Test-first/test-driven development (TDD)
