HOW A UI/UX DESIGNER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Collaborate with software developers and product teams to implement accessible front‑end design modifications
Create, promote, and support standards for usability and accessibility excellence
Develop interface designs, prototypes, and detailed specifications across web and mobile platforms
Produce conceptual interaction design artifacts, including wireframes, sitemaps, diagrams, feature lists, process maps, mock-ups, and working prototypes
Translate user needs, product requirements, and technical constraints into thoughtful UX solutions
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BA/BS in Information Technology or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Experience: 10+ years of related experience
Required skills:
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end technologies
Ability to create detailed UX assets including wireframes, user flows, and visual specifications
Experience working within a cross-functional software development environment
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability standards
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Location: McLean VA, on Customer Site

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
