Join a forward-thinking supply chain team supporting large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
At EnergyLink, a Quanta Services company, we are hiring Buyers at all levels (Buyer I, Buyer II, Senior Buyer) to strengthen our growing procurement organization.
As a Buyer you will play a critical role in the end-to-end procurement lifecycle - supporting sourcing, negotiating, and delivering essential materials and equipment that keep complex projects moving forward. In this role, you will build depth in core purchasing processes while developing the skills to manage more complex procurement activities and supplier relationships.
This is more than transactional buying - it’s hands-on experience in strategic supply chain execution within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
What You'll Do:
Support or lead (depending on level) purchasing activities for key project materials and equipment - from sourcing and planning through purchase order (PO) execution and final delivery to construction sites.
Create, manage, and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely release to suppliers in support of construction schedules.
Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, compliance, and performance while negotiating favorable pricing and commercial terms.
Coordinate logistics and expediting activities to ensure materials are delivered on time to construction sites, aligning with project schedules and field requirements.
Act as the primary liaison between internal project teams and suppliers, providing clear communication, order status updates, and delivery tracking.
Identify procurement and delivery risks and drive resolution through expediting, alternate sourcing, or recovery plans to protect project timelines.
Use ERP systems to manage procurement activity, track purchase orders, monitor inventory needs, and ensure data accuracy across the supply chain.
Resolve supplier, PO, and delivery issues in coordination with internal stakeholders to maintain construction progress and minimize downtime.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFx execution, cost analysis, supplier selection, and performance reviews.
Partner cross-functionally with project management, planning, engineering, and quality teams to align procurement and field delivery requirements with construction schedules and project milestones.
What You'll Bring:
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).
Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.).
Negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills that grow in complexity by level.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen, organization, and decision-making ability.
Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically; valid driver’s license required.
What You'll Get:
Competitive base salary
Generous PTO & paid holidays to maintain work-life balance
401(k) with a generous match to plan for your future
Comprehensive benefits – medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
Weekly pay for consistent, reliable compensation
Great mentoring & career growth opportunities – we invest in your development
