Develop Snowflake-native applications using Snowpark (Python), Stored Procedures, Tasks, Streams, and Dynamic Tables to support day-end processing engines running within the Snowflake compute layer.
Design and implement RESTful APIs using FastAPI, ensuring data contracts are clearly defined, versioned, and documented through OpenAPI/Swagger.
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries in Snowflake and PostgreSQL for reporting, aggregation, and analytical workloads.
Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and API design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
Ensure platform security by applying best practices around authentication, authorization (RBAC), input validation, and secure error handling aligned with OWASP Top 10 standards.
Technical Skills
Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, including service discovery, inter-service communication, API versioning, and observability through distributed tracing and logging.
Proficiency in Python backend development, including FastAPI asynchronous programming and Pydantic-based data validation.
Hands-on expertise with SQL and analytical databases, including query optimization, aggregations, and data transformations.
Experience developing Snowflake-native solutions using Stored Procedures (Python/JavaScript), Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark.
Strong understanding of REST API design principles, OpenAPI specifications, and frontend integration patterns.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth2, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Experience with Docker and Docker Compose for containerized development and deployment.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and release management.
Proficiency with Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for compute, storage, and application deployment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5–8 years of professional full-stack development experience with a proven track record of delivering production-grade applications.
Prior experience in the Payments or Fintech industry is highly desirable.
