Description
Heffron is seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant who enjoys client communication, technical problem-solving and delivering exceptional outcomes for trustees. In this role, you’ll take ownership of an established portfolio of SMSFs, build trusted client relationships and support the development of junior team members.
The Role
As an SMSF Accountant, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of funds for direct trustee clients. You will:
Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and year-end accounts for SMSFs
Play an active role in reviewing work and supporting our quality processes
Manage end-to-end SMSF administration and deliver tailored solutions
Act as a technical escalation point for complex accounting and client queries
Build strong relationships with trustees as their key point of contact
Mentor and support the development of junior accountants

What You Bring
SMSF accounting expertise with relevant tertiary qualifications
Strong technical SMSF knowledge
Proficiency with Class accounting software
Ability to self-organise and collaborate effectively in a remote or hybrid team environment
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring or coaching experience
Strong client service mindset with excellent communication skill
