Fleet Financial Analyst
About the role
Job Overview:
The Fleet Financial Analyst supports the organization by delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, analyzing performance against budgets and forecasts, and providing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making. This role partners cross-functionally to monitor key performance metrics, ensure financial alignment, and support planning processes. The analyst plays a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving financial processes, and translating complex data into clear, concise insights for leadership.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Provide timely periodic and ad hoc financial reporting results to management team, analyze and communicate variances to plans and provide performance improvement recommendations.
Develop, deploy, and communicate on-going monitoring of relevant business metrics, across financial and non-financial areas.
Assist other departments to follow their financial performance and evaluate financials
Analyze financial data and prepare reports on company performance
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights
Assist in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts
Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and explain key drivers
Collaborate with departments to ensure financial alignment
Prepare presentations and reports for leadership
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Required Education and Experience:
BS in Accounting or Finance
2-3 years' experience in financial analysis
Experience working with finance and accounting software packages (ERP).
Strong Microsoft office competency
Understanding of general ledger coding
Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
