About the role
The Senior Director, Product Strategy is an enterprise leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the end-to-end digital product strategy across a complex portfolio of products and experiences. They will be the leader and primary digital point of contact across: Express Scripts PBS, Express Scripts and EnGuide Pharmacy, Evernorth and Accredo. This role serves as a single point of accountability for the digital product portfolio – owning how digital solutions address prioritized business and customer needs – while translating shared priorities into product strategy, roadmap and delivery.
This leader operates at the intersection of product, engineering, design, engagement, platform, data, and business leadership to drive consistency, speed, and impact across a multi-product ecosystem. Through a data-driven, test-and-learn approach, they ensure the right work is prioritized, teams are aligned, and digital solutions deliver meaningful results for customers and the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and Lead Product Strategy
Establish and articulate a clear, enterprise-level product vision and long-term roadmap
Translate business priorities into actionable product strategies and delivery plans
Drive alignment of product strategy across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
Own End-to-End Product Experience
Lead the strategy and execution of integrated, cross-channel digital experiences
Ensure consistency and quality across all customer touchpoints and product interactions
Drive Value-Based Prioritization
Lead value-based prioritization of product investments based on business impact, customer outcomes, and data insights
Champion a test, learn, and scale mindset to continuously improve product performance
Enterprise Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment
Serve as a strategic leader and influencer, aligning stakeholders around a unified product strategy while maintaining clear accountability for digital product outcomes and execution
Navigate complex organizational dynamics to enable clear decision-making and execution
AI, Innovation & Market Leadership
Drive best-in class use of AI and disruptive technologies at pace
Stay ahead of industry and technology trends to drive innovation and differentiated digital experiences
Ensure product strategy is continuously informed by competitive and industry analysis, emerging digital capabilities, and voice of the customer insights; synthesizing these inputs into prioritization decisions and initiative design
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Build, lead, and develop high-performing product teams
Lead and develop digital product leaders and product owners supporting web and mobile experiences
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Data-Driven Decision Making
Leverage analytics to identify opportunities, measure performance, and optimize outcomes
Ensure product strategies are grounded in measurable business and customer value
Cross-Functional Integration
Partner closely with product, engineering, design, content, analytics, and operations teams to deliver cohesive solutions
Ensure seamless coordination across teams to drive end-to-end value delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience leading digital product strategy within healthcare, with a strong focus on patient and customer communication experiences
Demonstrated track record of building and scaling product organizations - not just managing existing teams
Experience leading web and mobile product portfolios and delivering integrated, omnichannel digital experiences
Strong understanding of emerging digital channels and technologies, with experience deploying innovative capabilities at scale
Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive enterprise-wide alignment
Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution and measurable outcomes
Experience operating in complex, highly matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders
Deep expertise in data-driven product management and decision making

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 183,500 - 305,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
