About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Assistant Director, Campus Planning & Development to drive the vision of a vibrant, sustainable and future-ready hospital campus.
This role goes beyond traditional operations. It is an opportunity to shape how our campus engages the community, embeds sustainability at scale, and delivers innovative, patient-centric services. You will work closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into high-impact, measurable initiatives that advance organisational priorities and position Woodlands Hospital as a model for operational excellence and integrated care.

In this role, you will:
Lead the development of a vibrant campus that strengthens community partnerships and engagement
Drive organisation-wide sustainability efforts aligned with ESG principles
Oversee food service strategies that enhance patient experience while supporting population health goals
Influence and align multiple stakeholders to deliver integrated, scalable outcomes
Key Responsibilities
Shape a Vibrant and Connected Campus
Set the strategic direction for community engagement and outreach initiatives
Build and steward long-term partnerships across public, private and community sectors
Design and deliver flagship programmes that strengthen public value and organisational brand
Establish robust frameworks to measure impact and continuously improve initiatives
Drive Sustainability at Scale
Lead the Sustainability Office, setting strategy, priorities and workplans
Champion organisation-wide sustainability and value-driven initiatives across energy, waste, water and food systems
Embed ESG principles into operations, procurement and programme design
Oversee sustainability performance, reporting and external disclosures
Reimagine Food Services
Provide strategic and operational leadership for food services, ensuring quality, safety and patient-centric outcomes
Drive innovation in food services (e.g. personalised dining, sustainable sourcing, waste reduction)
Oversee vendor performance, governance and service delivery standards
Align food service strategies with broader sustainability and population health goals
Lead Strategy Execution and Governance
Translate organisational priorities into actionable, measurable strategies across portfolios
Establish governance frameworks, policies and KPIs to ensure alignment and compliance
Advise senior leadership through insights, recommendations and strategic perspectives
Oversee budget planning, resource allocation and cost optimisation
Enable Collaboration and Organisational Impact
Engage and influence stakeholders across clinical, operations and corporate functions
Support leadership communications, briefings and presentations
Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive integrated outcomes
Develop High-Performing Teams
Lead, mentor and develop teams across community engagement, sustainability and food services
Build organisational capability in sustainability, partnerships and service innovation
Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
What You Bring
Experience and Expertise
Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. healthcare, sustainability, public health, hospitality, business)
At least 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare, public sector or large integrated environments
Proven track record in strategy development, programme delivery and stakeholder management
Capabilities
Strategic and systems thinking with strong execution discipline
Ability to lead across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Strong governance, operational and financial acumen
Excellent communication and influencing skills at senior levels
Analytical and outcome-driven approach to problem-solving
