Why does the job exist?
The Senior Data Analyst will:
Support Medical Assistance Division (MAD) data needs with regards to state and federal reporting, performance measures, and data analysis.
How does it get done?
The Senior Data Analyst responsible for:
Overseeing data request operations throughout the bureau and ensuring procedural compliance;
Establishing and updating systems bureau data request procedures;
Assigning primary and backup points of contact ensuring timely request handling;
Coordinating with external entities to clarify data issues or technical needs;
Ensuring program-specific data definitions are updated and maintained;
Determining if data extract can be done internally or by Conduent;
Coordinating with program subject matter experts and leadership to ensure accuracy in the final products;
Rejecting criteria and returning to data analyst for revision.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience directly related to the position in research, statistics, computer science, data analysis, accounting, auditing, finance, economics, business, public administration, budgeting, management, and/or systems analysis or related professional certification as determined by the hiring agency. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
