Job purpose

BorgWarner SLP is currently seeking a Product Engineer to join our PowerDrive System business unit team. The Product Engineer will be responsible for Sustain and / improve product yield, Quality, Reliability, Safety, Legal and Environmental compliance, Transfer new products.

Key Responsibilities

The actual KJEs may include all, some or more of the followings:

Lead production by resolving material problems & software related

Improve product yield & quality

Support new product / variation / ECO activities

Initiative & drive cost reduction issues

Participate in employee involvement team

Improve customer satisfaction and reduce linepull / warrantly to meet target

Special projects

Modify & debug test software (if applicable)

Ensure all prints meet the revision

Lead in change management process

What we are looking for

Bachelor/Master Electronics/ Mechatronic Engineering Degree

5 years in similar position including strong background of electronics, microprocessor and mechanical assemblies.

Experience using GD&T, mechanical assemblies, gear systems.

Knowledge of lab tools like digital oscilloscope, curve tracer, simulators is a plus.

Long response time from suppliers, Resolve customer application related product problems, Difficulty to access accurate product information - Confidential

Limited networking & exposure to identify the key areas for upgrading (knowledge, process, equipment).

IPC standards, SMT, Six Sigma, SolidWorks, Agile.
