ROLE SUMMARY:

Sotogrande International School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outdoor Education Programme Co-ordinator to lead the development and delivery of an inspiring Outdoor Education programme across the school.

This role will provide students with meaningful experiences beyond the classroom, fostering resilience, leadership, teamwork, environmental awareness, and personal growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and develop the school's Outdoor Education programme.

Coordinate the International Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Support and develop Adventure Scouts, Forest School, and outdoor leadership initiatives.

Organise expeditions, outdoor learning activities, survival skills sessions, and community engagement projects.

Ensure high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management.

Manage resources, budgets, external partnerships, and communications with parents and staff.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Experience delivering outdoor education programmes, expeditions, or youth development activities.

Experience with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Scouts, Forest School, or similar programmes.

Strong organisational, leadership, and risk assessment skills.

A passion for outdoor learning and developing young people.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
