About the role

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC machines, including screw chillers and thermal products.

Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and BOMs.

Select and integrate electrical components such as MCCBs, contactors, relays, VFDs, sensors, heaters, and protection devices.

Support control panel design, power distribution, earthing, and safety interlocks for chiller systems.

Support PLC and HMI programming activities, including basic logic modifications, I/O mapping, tag management, and parameter settings.

Coordinate BMS integration (e.g., BACnet/Modbus) and support testing, signal mapping, and system validation.

Participate in dry testing, DVT, and performance testing of machines in lab and factory environments.

Troubleshoot electrical and control-related issues during development, production, and site commissioning.

Coordinate with Mechanical, Controls, Software, QA, Sourcing, and Service teams for system integration and issue resolution.

Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, safety guidelines, and company processes.

Support component localization and cost optimization initiatives without impacting quality or performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

3–6 years of relevant industry experience (Engineer II level).

Strong machine-level experience in HVAC systems, especially screw chiller machines.

Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and VFD-based applications.

Working experience or exposure to PLC and HMI programming in industrial applications.

Knowledge of BMS integration protocols such as Bacnet and Modbus is preferred.

Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Structured Text (ST), and Function Block Diagram (FBD).

Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and documentation.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
