Director of Europe Global Accounts
Role Purpose
The Director of Europe Global Accounts acts as a strategic deal-maker responsible for originating, shaping, and accelerating high-value opportunities within multinational accounts whose decision-making is centralized in European countries. The role partners closely with Global Account Managers (GAMs) and regional teams to drive revenue growth, services, and secure multi-country deals, while ensuring alignment across Millicom operations in Latin America.
1. Strategic Guidance in Account Planning
Co-develop strategic account plans with GAMs, focusing on growth, competitiveness, and long-term value creation.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships, positioning Millicom as a trusted partner in transformation initiatives.
Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities aligned with client strategy and company portfolio.
Integrate market insights, competitive intelligence, and benchmarks into account planning.
2. Originate, Negotiate and Close Big Deals
Originate and lead high-value, multi-country opportunities and global contracts.
Define deal strategy, value proposition, and win themes for complex opportunities.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (GAMs, Pre-Sales, Architects, Operations, PMO) to develop proposals.
Lead executive presentations, negotiations, and objection handling.
Drive deal progression and closure, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
3. Monitor and Follow Up on Plan Execution
Monitor account performance, pipeline development, and execution of strategic initiatives.
Identify gaps versus plan and implement corrective actions with GAMs and stakeholders.
Support resolution of deal blockers and improve win and closing rates.
Provide visibility on account health and performance to senior leadership.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in B2B consultative sales or global account management.
Strong knowledge of Cloud, Cybersecurity, Connectivity, SD-WAN, UCaaS, and Telecommunications.
Proven experience managing complex, multi-country deals.
Advanced English proficiency.
Based in Madrid, Spain.
