About the role
Roles and responsibilities:
Work independently end to end including development and testing.
Develop applications using C as the programming language and work on Ingres database in Solaris/Linux platforms.
Build the Ingres database from scratch and migrate the data.
Manage defect tracking system and resolve all issues and prepare update for systems.
Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
Create technical specifications and test plans
Monitor everyday activities of system and provide required support.
Mandatory Skills:
Knowledge on Ingres 4GL, Ingres ABF, QBF, ISQL, Database Procedures, Rules, Database Events.
Strong hold on C and C++ programming languages.
Database design and development (Ingres database)
Ability to optimize the complex Ingres queries and suggest solutions.
Experience in working on Solaris platform
Experience with shell scripting.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
Passion for technology
Any experience on AWS cloud platform is an added advantage.
