Make a Difference

Based at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital within our Specialist Oncology Day Unit, the McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (CNC Grade 2) plays a vital role in providing expert care, education, information and support to people diagnosed with breast cancer.

Working alongside patients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary team, you will help guide and support individuals throughout their cancer journey in a compassionate, person-centred environment.

Essential requirements include:

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Postgraduate qualifications in cancer nursing, oncology and/or palliative care, or currently working towards completion.

Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least three years recent experience in oncology, palliative care or cancer nursing.

A caring, proactive and open-minded professional who is committed to ongoing learning and development.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively within a diverse healthcare team.

Passionate about delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care to patients living with advanced breast cancer.
