Manning Base Hospital is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates with registration with the Medical Board of Australia, a minimum of two years’ Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) experience, and the ability to manage a busy birthing unit with specialist support.

About the Role & Department

Join a dynamic and supportive team in a well-established O&G department featuring a busy birthing suite with approximately 650 deliveries per year. After hours on call and weekend commitment is 1:4.

Comprehensive outpatient services including:

Antenatal Clinic (ANC)

Gynaecology

High-Risk Obstetrics

Colposcopy

Surgical services including minimally invasive, open, and laparoscopic procedures

Strong JMO support, including Accredited Registrars / Rural Generalists, SRMOs and RMOs

Close collaboration with a well-established Paediatrics Department, including a Special Care Nursery

Academic links with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health

Teaching opportunities for Years 3–5 (Joint Medical Program)

Conjoint Academic appointments encouraged (commensurate with experience)
