QA Automation Engineer – API, Playwright, Typescript

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API validation and Playwright-based automation using TypeScript.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain TypeScript-based API validations using Playwright

Validate API request/response behavior, headers, routing, and error handling

Perform parity testing to ensure API outcomes align with workflow expectations

Identify integration gaps, edge cases, and dependency issues

Collaborate with Dev and QA teams for defect triage and resolution

Work with DevOps teams for environment readiness and deployment validation

Support UAT cycles, release readiness, and milestone validations

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Engineering

Strong hands-on experience in Playwright & TypeScript

Solid experience with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols

Understanding of API-led / middleware architectures

Familiarity with webMethods, MuleSoft, or similar platforms

Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Experience in API validation, testing support, and basic performance checks
