We are currently seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer - Azure Microservices to join our team in CDMX, Ciudad de México (MX-CMX), Mexico (MX).

Profile Objective

We are looking for a Senior Engineer specialized in cloud-native microservices architecture and development on Azure, with strong experience in resilience, messaging/event streaming, Kubernetes, observability, and highly available distributed platform design. The candidate must be capable of designing scalable and resilient solutions in enterprise environments, actively participating in architecture decisions, advanced troubleshooting, and production optimization.

Expected Technical Competencies

Design of decoupled and resilient microservices.

Domain-driven service boundaries and responsibilities.

Hexagonal architecture implementation.

Enterprise-grade REST API design.

Azure distributed systems expertise (AKS, Azure SQL, Redis, Event Hub, Key Vault).

Resilience patterns: Circuit Breaker, Retry, Timeout, Bulkhead, Fallbacks, Rate Limiting.

Event streaming expertise, including consumer groups, partitions, DLQs, backpressure, idempotency, and throughput tuning.

JPA/Hibernate batch optimization and SQL performance tuning.

Kubernetes deployments, rolling updates, canary deployments, resource configuration, and pod troubleshooting.

JVM tuning in containerized environments.

Secure cloud practices using Managed Identity, OAuth/JWT, RBAC, and least-privilege access.

Distributed locking with Redis.

Unit and integration testing using JUnit 5 and Mockito.

Expected Responsibilities

Design resilient and scalable microservices platforms.

Participate in cloud-native architecture decisions.

Resolve critical production incidents.

Implement observability and resilience practices.

Define technical standards.

Optimize performance and resource consumption.

Provide technical guidance to backend teams.

Collaborate with DevOps, QA, architecture, and security teams.

6+ years of Java backend experience.

3+ years working with microservices and Kubernetes.

Proven experience in enterprise cloud production environments.
