Job Description – Finance SME (NetSuite)
Role Overview
The Finance SME will lead finance process design and implementation for a multi-company NetSuite deployment within a Life Sciences environment. The role will define future-state financial processes, support solution design, and ensure alignment with accounting standards and corporate reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Process Leadership
Lead design workshops for Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
Define chart of accounts, financial dimensions, and reporting structures.
Support consolidation strategy for acquired companies.
NetSuite Functional Leadership
Design and validate NetSuite financial configurations.
Support implementation of:
General Ledger
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Fixed Assets
Cash Management
Revenue Recognition
Financial Reporting
Multi-Entity Accounting
Data Migration
Define migration requirements for:
Open AP/AR
Trial balances
Historical financial data
Fixed assets
Vendor and customer masters
Testing Training
Lead UAT activities.
Develop finance process documentation and training materials.
Support cutover and hypercare activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent preferred.
8+ years of finance transformation or ERP implementation experience.
5+ years of NetSuite Finance implementation experience.
Strong knowledge of financial consolidation and multi-subsidiary environments.
